Objective:
Assisting the employer in safety at work and accident prevention in all questions relating to the protection of health.


Contents:
Advising the employer on the:

  • Planning, implementation and maintenance of installations and social and medical equipment,
  • Procurement of technical equipment,
  • Selection and testing of personal protective equipment,
  • Dealing with physiological, psychological, hygiene-related and other ergonomic questions that arise, in particular the coordination of working cycles and working time, organisation of breaks, layout of workstations, work processes and the workstation environment,
  • Organisation of first aid in the workplace,
  • Responding to questions of changes to the workplace and the integration and re-integration of the disabled into the working environment,
  • Observation of the implementation of protection at work and accident prevention by regular inspection of workplaces,
  • Introduction of work processes and substances,
  • Holding safety at work committee meetings,
  • Investigating the causes of any accidents at work and making suggestions regarding the avoidance of hazard,
  • Layout of workstations, the work process, the working environment (ergonomics at the workstation, lifting and carrying etc.).

Obligations:
Appointments based on minimum working time calculated according to §2 of the BGV A2 (employers‘ liability insurance association accident prevention regulation) for the appropriate company.
